Hermes Agent

Hermes Agent is a provider-neutral agent runtime from Nous Research rather than a DeepSeek product. It runs through a terminal UI or messaging gateways for Telegram, Discord, Slack, WhatsApp and Signal, and combines persistent memory, session search, autonomous skill creation and improvement, scheduled tasks, isolated subagents and multiple execution backends. Its built-in providers include Nous Portal, OpenRouter, OpenAI-compatible services and custom endpoints. The native DeepSeek plugin targets current V4 models, enables thinking by default for V4, preserves reasoning history required across tool calls, forwards thinking and reasoning-effort controls, and remaps retired deepseek-chat and deepseek-reasoner aliases.
